The FVB Scholarship Fund
The Freedom Village Brandywine Scholarship Fund , Inc. is a non-profit corporation formed in 2004 by FVB residents. Its purpose is to provide qualified, deserving FVB employees who desire a higher education with a scholarship award.
This web page is for employees of Freedom Village at Brandywine to download forms for applying for a scholarship from the Freedom Village at Brandywine Scholarship Fund, Inc. All forms are also available in printed form either near a time clock or in a break room.

The “Application” form is a PDF file with active fields for entering the requested information, which should be downloaded, completed, and printed. Alternatively, the downloaded and printed form can also be filled out by hand.
All items on the “Check List”, Parts 1-8, must be submitted at the same time, by placing all of the completed items in Resident Mail Box 454, in the Independent Living building, no later than March 31, 2025.
Some computer help if you need it:
For all devices, you will need the Adobe Reader software (free from adobe.com) to see and, in the case of the Application Form, to fill out the Application. You may already have this on your device.
For Windows desktops and laptops, and MacBooks and iMacs:
At the upper right of the window for each of the documents below, you will see icons for downloading and printing. (For MacBooks and Imacs, the download icon is at the bottom center of the window.) Download the documents, open each of them with Adobe Reader, fill out the Application, and print the documents.
For iPads and iPhones:
Tap on the "Tap here" words for the first document, which will then open. Tap the square icon with the arrow pointing up out of it at the upper right of the screen for an iPad, at the lower center on an iPhone. In the window that drops down, tap on Save to Files. Then choose the Location - On My iPad, and then, in the right hand pane, tap on the Downloads folder. Then tap on Save at the upper right. Repeat these actions for each document. Now that all documents are on your device, you can open each with Adobe Reader, fill out the Application, and print everything you need to print. Note that you will need to connect to a wireless printer on the same network as is your device in order to print. All forms are also available in printed form either near a time clock or in a break room.
For Android Devices:
You may see a gray box, possibly with the words "This plugin is not supported". Ignore the gray box and tap on the "Tap here" words for the first document, which will then open. Tap on the 3 vertical dots at the upper right of the screen. This action will cause the document file to be downloaded and saved in the Downloads folder in the MY FILES folder. Repeat these actions for each document. Now that all documents are on your device, you can open each with Adobe Reader, fill out the Application, and print everything you need to print. Note that you will need to connect to a wireless printer on the same network as is your device in order to print. All forms are also available in printed form either near a time clock or in a break room.
